Short Memory
ESPN's Andy Katz has a blog comment about Randy Bennett not going to take the Utah job.

"always-formidable"? I like the sound of that, but my memory is a little longer than Andy's.• Saint Mary's coach Randy Bennett won't go to Utah after interviewing for the position. Whether that was his call is unknown. Regardless, Bennett has built a program in Moraga, Calif., that is now a consistent challenger to Gonzaga and should be to BYU as well once the Cougars join the WCC. The Gaels will have company, though, with San Francisco on the rise, Santa Clara improving and the always-formidable Portland.

Au contraire, mon ami... taken from a 1960 issue of Sports Illustrated:

If you've never browsed around the Sports Illustrated vault, you should... lots of really fun stuff.

Basketball is the big sport at the University of Portland, and Portland is a big-time basketball school

Re: Short Memory
My suspicion is Katz is just saying what he has to to avoid the infamous Reveno head lock and noogie torture to reporters that dare speak ill of the Pilots...

Re: Short Memory
There is no written history of that. Just like the dark ages for the most part. Just hearsay and rumor.

It's probably because you were tired after studying all week.
