The roster for the first camp was announced. Three Pilots are on it, Enyeart, Reed, and Winters.
Congrats to them all.

Good point - No disrespect to Elli, who I love as a player, but I think Jess is a more effective player.

Re: u23 Camp
How many UP players do you think Bill can get in on one camp?

Re: u23 Camp
I wonder if it is more of Jessica's choice to pursue other goals in life.
Speaking of Jessica, I hope and pray that she is getting over the last kick she had taken as a pilot. Watching her bring her hair down (perhaps I am reading too much into it but a possible and heavy symbolsim for guilt in oriental culture?) immediately after the kick really ached my heart. If you are reading this, we will remember and appreciate your brilliant plays for many years to come. Best wishes to you Jessica!!!

Interesting that Elli is listed as a midfielder rather than as a defender.

Re: u23 Camp
Where it says Michelle Enyeart is "unattached," does that mean she is not under contract with a pro team? Other notables such as Kelly O'Hara are also "unattached" on this list.

Re: u23 Camp
Yes. Michelle E was waived by the Boston WPS team last spring due to her ACL injury suffered in the SD game. It was largely a financial move to save money for the team. Kelley O'Hara was on FC Gold Pride with Christine S and Tiffany M. FC GP folded operations this year making all of their players free agents. I think the same applies to Katie Schoepfer, but I don't recognize her name.
You've got to hand it to Bill though. He does a great job of taking care of the Pilots through the years with his U-23 team involvement. For Michelle, this is an opportunity to show people that she's back and hopefully gets her an opportunity to play professionally somewhere. As far as Kelley is concerned, she's a great player and it would be fun to see her paired with Michelle.

Re: u23 Camp
I'm a little concerned that even if Michelle is healthy, she isn't yet game fit with nowhere to play so she won't be able to fully showcase her skills.
and while Bill has had Pilots are often on the team, I'm not sure how often it is his choice. Players show up on the team that the Nats want to see.
He probaly only gets a choice if potential candidates turn down positions for personal reasons this time of year. Then he might add a UP player for convenience. But they have often comported themselves well.
