Re: WNT Blog & CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers
yeah, we were unscored upon in the tournament. As a defender, I'm pretty proud of that.
Dang! this thing is heavy

O Canada! A trophy and national healthcare too. The results of this tournament took USA by surprise. More power to Sinclair and Schmidt, and safe travel back north.

Re: WNT Blog & CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers
First leg of the playoff with Italy was today. Alex Morgan came off the bench to score the only goal.
So let's see...your youngest player did pretty well today Pia. Maybe you could have called up some more young players before you got in this position?
Return leg is in Chicago.

ESPN's highlights of the U.S.-Italy game showed Megan Rapinoe jumping celebrating with teammates after Morgan's goal. Game summary says Megan played the whole game; Stephanie Cox did not play.
P.S. -- Megan is (still) my idol.

You have to have new kits to wear to the World Cup.
I wish this was a belated April Fool's joke but they've been out for a couple weeks now.

Great comments by Da TR and PPT
Once again, the fine people at Nike have outdone themselves. Maybe it's time to spend a little less time designing UofO uniforms and basketball courts.

I promise to never again complain about the good people at adidas putting neon green stripes on Timbers gear.keeper wrote:Great comments by Da TR and PPT

But that's why Sepp's plan didn't work
Argentina, for example, is an Adidas team.

Sorry to burst your bubble Geez, but there are only 2 stripes on that last picture... But at least we all understand your affections toward Argentina a little more...

Yeah, I like to get behind my team.
The stripes are for each WC win. that's definitely an Adidas logo above her right...umm... pocket.
and last year's version... definitely Adidas
