Is there any way can wangle Alabama State as a first-round playoff opponent? Smile

as significant:

UP has given up 7 goals, Stanford 10, and Nebraska 29. (Alabama State is a leader here, too. They have scored 2 goals)

The Oregonian story about the USF game said that the Pilots were aiming for 8 goals. Wow, I'd never heard of a team trying to get a particular number (let alone such a high number). Kreminski was awesome -- living up to the potential she showed way back as a freshman in the preseason scrimmage for season ticket holders when she just soared for a powerful header.
USF simply never had a chance even playing 10 in the box.
Pilots have had their shooting practice. Now come the deciding games.

St. Mary's & San Francisco - Page 3 Empty St. Marys player

Post by UPWomenSoccerRookie Mon Oct 26, 2009 10:17 pm

Friday I was impressed with Jessica Menzhuber, #16 for St. Marys. She is big (5’10”), fast (outran our defenders several times, including Jessica), and a good ball-handler. Several times she showed deft footwork on the ball, both in and out of traffic. Unfortunately for her, there usually was no place to go with the ball & no teammate to pass to. She had 10 goals prior to Friday. I would not be surprised to see her name on the all-conference team.

St. Mary's & San Francisco - Page 3 Empty USF highlights

They apparently couldn't fit all the highlights on one reel, so here's part 1

And I guess you could call this one the out-takes, including the high-five greeting Kendra got from ms. O'Brien.

Part 1 looks like "The Dani and Halley Show" - I'd watch that series every weekend!

I would say that it is generally not a good thing for our opponents when the highlights dont fit on one reel...

Goal Celebration!

Mark Carr, head coach of the USF women's team discusses last week's northwest trip at https://www.youtube.com/user/USFDonsAthletics#p/u/3/kuLuUeOCQLw. Among his quotes about the Pilots:
That is the most impressive and well-balanced team I've seen in a long time.

Those were some very complimentary words from the USF coach. Very classy.
