Cloee update
Word on the street is that Cloee has a stress fracture in her femur (upper leg) which will take approximately 6 weeks for full recovery.
If anyone has better info please post here.
Let's all send our positive energy her way and hope for a shorter period of recovery.

Sigh!
Let's hope this is a short-term injury and not a season-ender.
Meaning no disrespect to anyone - and I really mean that - you don't replace a 5'8" national team captain central defender without losing something.
It's not the next few weeks that would concern me, but the come playoffs ... that's a different story.
Hope we never get to find out.

Re: Cloee update
And this afternoon I'll be cheering them on against Miami who surprised most of us with a win - in a reportedly drab encounter - over UW.
Assume that starting line up will be similar to Friday evening. If that is the case, I'll enjoy seeing Elli and Kendall combining again.

Re: Cloee update
We do have Kassi coming back in a couple of weeks apparently, so we I don't think we'll be in too much trouble by conference season.
She logged more minutes last year than anyone on the team at that or any other field position.
Still, it would be great to have them all healthy for the tournament.

Re: Cloee update
One of the team parents told me at the game today that Cloee has a stress fracture of her femur, probably from weightlifting. Since it's in the upper leg with better circulation, it should heal faster than Kendra's lower leg stress fracture from last year. They hope she's back in six weeks and are trying to get Kassi back in two weeks.

Re: Cloee update
As of late tonight they are NOT positive that it is a stress fracture, she hopefully has an MRI monday to confirm and that is what they are hopeing for. Either way she is out for 6 weeks and hopefully the R&R will speed up her recovery!

Re: Cloee update
Kassie herself told a fan after the Miami game that she expects to be ready to play the week after the Texas trip, so her return to the field might be against the OSU Beavers on 9/25.
