signing day
Today is the day when it can become official for the 2009 recruits.
It's NLI day for Football, Field Hockey, Soccer, Track and Field, Cross Country, and Men's Water Polo.
Football players have until April 1 to sign, the other sports have until August 1.
UP doesn't publicize the signings right away because they apparently feel that everyone is paying attention to the Football players, then Basketball and we won't make the front page of the Sports section. They usually wait until after March Madness, or at least after the WCC tournament.
So Us diehard fans will just have to wait or get our info from other sources...

Re: signing day
Geez has proven to be a primary and secondary source for all things pilots
One team, Georgia, already has their signees posted. As Geez pointed out it is really a matter of preference than rule. If you like doing your own inquiries check out soccerbuzz, soccertimes, bigsoccer and socceramerica are among the few but noteworthy.

Mr. Herbstreit, Mr. Corso, tell us some more stories about how the SEC is light years better than the rest of the country...

Well it's official for at least one recruit. Molly Klier signed today, according to the SACBEE

Re: signing day
Will the players be faxing their LOIs today for soccer? Is there an insider who can tell us who we've landed?

Well, there is no mystery about who they are. the verbal commitments were made over a year ago. In case you haven't been following along, they are:
Cloee Colohan Utah
Taylor Brooke West Linn
Kendall Johnson Portland
Molly Klier Sacramento
Elinor Priest St Mary's
We also have a pretty good idea on the 2010 class, although another player or two may be added there.
Strangely, we haven't heard much about 2011. Last year around this time several players had already gone public.
