Thanks Ohhh_yeah.

By the way, although I assume most of us will be at the game, it will be broadcast again on Channel 37 CSNNW.

Charney Burke will get her first goal since the first the first NAU game. Megan will take a free kick and bend it in. Sophie will get either get an assist or goal or both.

So is that a prediction for each half, for a final of 6-0? Laughing

I'm guessing 4-0. The Pilots get one early, pull the Dukes out of their bunker to try to equalize, then pour it on in the second half.

I'm with Stonehouse (not at the wedding but in terms of the 2-0 score).
Gameday weather report: Stormy on the Bluff with 100 percent chance of UP goals. High pressure area settles over JMU goalkeeper due to flanking runs by UP backs. Hurricane Megan unleashes a swath of destruction across midfield. Sudden strikes likely along the UP front line with thunder in the 18-yard box. Defensive tsunami overwhelms JMU counterattackers. Kelsey Davis battens down the storm shutters. Sunny smiles return post-game.

Wow, that was a rare tidbit. I can't believe how long its been since I have seen a tobacco commercial. "Just a pinch between the cheek and gum" stick the can in the waist band of your shorts and play on.

Tsao with a beautiful go-ahead goal!

I just listened to this thing and it was not really encouraging for me to see our defense give up two soft goals to an unranked team. At this time of the year we should be really rolling. Hope they get rejuvinated for Stanford or we could be talking about next year a lot sooner than we thought.

Stanford is a big counter attacking team behind the speed of O'Hara who has received much more acclaim than the JMU attackers. Our possession is only as good as we can defend and score with it.

Agreed on the soft goals.

At this point, I will just take the W... we came out a little off kilter tonight, but still managed to hold off the Dukes. Lets focus on taking it to the Cardinal.

That was a team that was good on the counterattack, and took advantage of a couple of defensive mistakes. On the other hand, the second goal for the Pilots was a masterpiece from Tsao. She took the ball just inside the 18 and curved in a beautiful shot. The Pilots spent plenty of time in the JMU half and had over 20 shots.

For a team like the Pilots this was not a very good game, but I trust they will take care of business in practice and come out much better against Stanford.

JMU is a better team than their unranked status would lead one to believe. They also have speed, and Portland came out flat. The first JMU goal, however, woke up the Pilots. At that point they turned things around, though it took time to pound it in the goal because of the expected bunker defense.

The best thing to keep in mind as fans is that the games don't get easier the deeper we go, regardless of whether a team is seeded or not.
