injury report
ok. we all know that rachel is out for the year, but i know i was surprised when hallie kreminski walked out with rachel for last fridays game. an then sunday, it was kendra, j-tsao and late in the game korie going down with injuries. while kendra was the only one in a ' boot', it still concerns me that we have a considerable number of injuries. an i keep seeing keeling wincing an grimacing in these last two games. i feel i know what a warrior keelin is [not to slight our soldiers] an no matter how she feels, she's not going to give up!! right now i am going to try an sigh a big [redundant] sigh of relief.

Re: injury report
This doesn't sound too good. Let's just hope the injuries are minor. Afterall, when the playoffs start, we will need all the "soldiers" we can muster.

Re: injury report
Halley K has a hamstring pull, as we all know these can take time to heal and can be re-injured easily. Hope for the best.

Why does Kendra play so little? She's such a great player...

Re: injury report
Well, she's been hurt. A foot, I think. She missed the Florida game last Fri.

Hammies can end your career if they aren't given time to totally heal.

Re: injury report
Kendra has a foot injury, I think. She is wearing a protective boot - up to the knee - on her left foot. It's more important that she is fit for the conference games, and hopefully for the playoffs - once the three amigas are gone - than that she play through an injury now. Same applies to Hallie K and to Korie.

Re: injury report
Is Kendra's foot injury worse than initially suspected? She's had the boot for awhile. But, at least she was able to walk around with it. Tonight at the UW game...she's on crutches? Hmmm...that doesn't look like progress to me? Will we see her play this season? By the time the playoffs rolls around, she will probably not be in game shape. Will this be a medical/reshirt year?

Re: injury report
That's an interesting question. I made a quick search and a player can almost automatically get a redshirt if she can't play due to injury and has only played the first 30% of the regular contest dates, Kendra has played in 6 dates according to the cumulative stats. UP had 20 dates scheduled, but one of those was eliminated when USU cancelled because they miscounted their games, leaving 19 games.
6/19 = 31.58%
There are other redshirt eligibility rules that may apply, and of course, UP could make an appeal for special circumstance, and it appears that there is wording for rounding off.
Somebody is going to have to do a bit of research to make that work. I'm just not up for it right now...

Re: injury report
Based on what I heard from Kendra's dad, yes, it's a little worse than we thought. Saw her on crutches coming out at the beginning of the second half. As previously stated, I think we're just hoping she's ready for the later part of the season.

Re: injury report
Geezer - we had 19 matches scheduled initially. After the OSU cancellation, we now have 18 matches total regular season.
They don't count scrimmages, or some other odd thing, do they?
