Soccer Times Out To Lunch
Soccer Times 9-8-2008 Women's Top 25
They've moved us from 7th last week to 6th this week. And we are one spot BEHIND USC. Both have 4-1 records. You'd think we would be ahead of a team we beat, though perhaps USC has had the tougher schedule.

Yeah, well, of course they had the tougher schedule...
They had to play US.

Nice one, Geezer!
I throw one right down the middle of the plate, and you knock it out of the park. Nice shot!!!

Well...
If you are going to lob them in underhand, What do you expect?
Did you see my eyes get big?

Re: Soccer Times Out To Lunch
Based strictly on opponents' and opponents' opponents' win-loss records (which is what the RPI uses), the Pilots' opponents have been significantly stronger than USC's.
Re: Soccer Times Out To Lunch
Amy Rodriguez is back and the editor thinks she would have made a differnce in the outcome? Hmmn? Still hard to imagine that sort of speculation would have led to this ranking, cause if we would have been at full strength ourselves last year, well maybe we take the championship--SoccerTimes could have given it to us anyway using the same reasoning, but alas they did not. What an injustice . . .

Re: Soccer Times Out To Lunch
Soccer Times is out of touch with soccer west of the Mississippi. John Haydon is also the soccer correspondent with the Washington Times. So when you read anything coming out of Soccer Times picture a little leprecaun typing with a faded UNC cap with a picture of Anson Dorrance on the wall.

Re: Soccer Times Out To Lunch
Soccer Buzz is one step closer to the truth. the Sept 15 poll now has us at #5, up one slot.
Soccer Buzz
Soccer Times is in lockstep with them.

Should only take 4 more weeks....
Soccer America is smarter. They are one week ahead of their rivals by ranking us #4
