Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
The same thing happened to FLA State. San Diego went up one by virtue of having taken USC to overtime, even though they lost.
I have never understood going down because you didn't play. Didn't the ranking people look at the schedules the first time around?
If they did, shouldn't they have taken it into account? If they didn't they shouldn't be ranking.

Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
I see SC is playing Portland State on Saturday night at Tualatin Hills. Do you supposed anyone from the Pilot coaching staff will be out there or will they all be at Merlo?

Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
I'm sure someone will go see them. I'd also look for a USC shirt in the crowd.
But how much could you learn from that game?

Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
The WCC weekly release is out, which is a good way to quickly see how well the rest of the conference is doing.
Also enclosed are the polls from all the major food groups, well, except TopDrawer. If Soccer Buzz isn't going to do polls this year, they might want to consider replacing them with TD.

Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
The only polls I pay much attention to are the Coaches polls. They seem to be the most unbiased.

Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
Yes, Geezer that's why I was wondering if Garrett would even bother to send anyone. I guess there is some obligation to have someone there despite the fact that it probably won't be too much of a challenge for the Trojans.

Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
Soccer Buzz has UCLA as Number 1 as of this Tuesday morning. It seems that we both lost to the Number 1 team(UCLA this week) and beat the Number 1 team (USC last week) in the same weekend.
In a perfect universe that should make us at least number 2. But we stay at 9.

Fear not.
As UPSF keeps reminding us, the only poll/ranking that counts is the RPI.
we're pretty well positioned there. a lot of the teams around us are going to Knock each other out.

Re: NSCAA Weekly Poll
The Soccer Buzz (and other) polls do not take into account Monday's win against USC.
