UP Merchandise (and lack thereof)

Well, they are at the souvenir stand at Merlo, but I doubt it's a big seller. I know some of their uniform designs get....er...mixed reviews (see the thread I started on the Duck baseball jerseys), but I think every year they make team apparel that looks awesome, like the shirts the basketball coaches were wearing last week. I think items like that would be very popular.

Those were a giveaway at a game back when I was in school. I'm sad I missed out on one too.

It really bums me because at the SJ vs. Timbers match at Merlo I was offered one for free. When all of a sudden out of nowhere some guy comes flying into my conversation with two $20 bills in his hand. I would of paid for it also but the guy said he was giving it to the other "gentlemen".

Man, I've got to dig into my Pilot treasure trove and see what I can find.

I've been going to games since Merlo opened... I've got all kinds of good stuff!

Maybe my favorite... a special shirt made for a Notre Dame game in the 90s that shows a very muscular Wally kicking a Leprechaun head into the goal. Priceless!

OH that would be one hell of one for the collection.... I would pay top dollar for my own "Go Ahead Call Our Bluff" shirt "54" so smugly trots around in front of me from time to time...

I really don't think you can beat a good "Pilots Slip it in" shirt.

The "Go ahead call our bluff" shirt is awesome - also containing the muscular wally. Unfortunatly, I wear it enough that it's getting pretty raddy. Not that that has ever stopped me from wearing something before.

Oh my lord... "Pilots Slip it In" easily the best shirt ever.

I want one of those shirts. Now.

I'd buy 8. One for every day of the week and then one to wear on laundry day.

Dude, Matt... I think you need to bring that shirt tomorrow. It needs to make an appearance at Merlo and at the Chiles Center. I haven't seen it in a while either... I need my "Pilots Slip It In" fix.

Don't worry it is packed. And yes, I do pack the day before I travel.

I went to the bookstore today to stock up until the next time I am in town (which may or may not be before 2010) and I must say, the selection is about 300% better than when I was a student.
