What if?

Post by Harry Redknapp on Sat Feb 23, 2008 12:13 pm

All kinds of good news about Pilots players - past, present, and future. Not to be a downer about 2008 season but what if:

Enyeart, Winters, and Reed all redshirt because of U20 world cup?

Schmidt ditto for Canada?

Rapinoe and Rapinoe are both still unable to play because of knees?

And we know that Cronkrite, Michaelson, Lopez nka Cox, Wonzuk, Budge, Scifo are done.

What does our team look like?

Davis: Sweeney, Kelly, Olivier, Nicholson; Jackman, Kreminski, Burk, Foxhoven; Chandhoke, Tsao

Yikes!

I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...."

I had the same thought on Hailee Geezer. I like her a lot. Her track and athletic backgroud makes her versatile enough to fill defensively where ever needed.

Katie Brown...where are you? That's another posible (eligible?) body. That makes 12! That's enough to cover for whomever is fatigued during a game. Yep. We're good!! No

How about medical redshirt exceptions for Jennifer Tuttle and Rebecca Meierbachtol? I know its a stretch....just brainstorming. Oh man...My head hurts! cyclops

Geezer...I think Katlyn Shaw's goal may just be realized this season, you think?

Also...here's a fun thought...how about signing transfers from PSU? How you think they'd feel about being pillaged?

I almost made the De Young suggestion in my original post! In addition to her, there is Janelle Jacka and the other incoming freshman McCluskie who's listed as a defender.

Katie Brown transferred to Yale at the start of the season and played against us this past season.

If all six players I listed are unavailable this could be a great year to walk on at UP because unless there are some more recruits that we don't know about they could be down to 14 players!

My bad. Mary Kuder was the player who quit and went to Yale. Katie Brown was not on the team last year though.

Mary Kuder was not only on the Yale team, she was captain of it.

We bring Shaw in, and we're golden. Besides, there's nothing says you have to play 11 bodies, except perhaps at the opening whistle.

No worries...

I mentioned putting a keeper in the field because we've done it before. Angela Harrison did a stint as a forward one year when we had similar issues. It was '97 or '98, I think, before the program was fully funded.

Besides deYoung, There's McClusky, too.

Jeez Maarten,

You are such a downer sometimes. Look on the bright side. In 2009, we'll have lots of Players with plenty of game experience,
and if Megan is still hurt in 2008, she could come back in 2009. ( I think R.R. is done then, though)

Plus 5 or 6 Great new recuits.

Sounds like a recipe for another College Cup to me.
