Megan's strike
I hope you all got to see Megan's outstanding goal for the USWNT against Canada today. It occurred with the US leading 1-0 in first-half stoppage time. The ball was sent across to her outside the left corner of the penalty area. She faked left to turn the defender, then cut back to the right and hit a hard, bending ball that swerved about three feet to the left to tuck just inside the right post. Goalkeeper had no chance whatsoever.
As the commentators (who must have been Abby Wambach's agents because they rarely got out a sentence without uttering her name in worshiping tone) admitted, we'll be seeing that goal on the USWNT highlights for a long time!
Overall, Megan played an excellent match at left outside midfield--the same position at which she was so effective last fall for the Pilots. She left at the 60' mark.
Christine was the only other Pilot who played, and she was rarely able to touch the ball in a threatening position because her teammates were badly outplayed by the US midfield. I don't know if Sophie was selected for the match or not, but in any case she didn't play.

Re: Megan's strike
I noticed the announcers acting as Abby's agents as well. She obviously has some great attributes, but I was starting to get a little annoyed by how in love with her they were. I know she's coming back from an injury, and it'll take some time for her to get her sharpness back, but I wanted to see someone sub in for her at some point in the second half. She seemed like her timing was a little off, and she was having trouble staying on her feet.
And yes, Megan's goal was pretty great!

"Christine was the only other Pilot who played"
I am a new Pilot fan, but wasn't Lisa Sari a Pilot? She played the whole game, I think.
That WAS a great goal by Meghan. After watching her a couple of times at the professional level, and also with the national team, she looks to me to be the starter now for the national team.

Wrong game. Lisa and Stephanie played for the Sol against Millie's Gold Pride in a Wps game.

Re: Megan's strike
Megan's goal in the US match was truly a thing of beauty especially since she not only had to the bend the ball into the goal side of the far post but also around the defender and the keeper who had seen the whole thing coming. What a shot. What a game.
