Foxhoven makes "guest appearance"

Post by Purplegeezer on Thu Jun 25, 2009 10:50 am

Apparently Danielle is playing the role of itinerant forward.

She latched on the the Colorado Force W league team for a match with the WPS sky blue.

I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...."

guest appearance

More like a practice game...
The pro teams players were I would say playing at 50%.
Foxhoven played well for what she was given to work with.
I think her Club team could have beaten this team.

the members of the force were average at best ... Foxhoven only given ten minutes of play ran her butt off doing her best to adjust the the calibur of play.. I felt sorry for her.

scrfn, welcome to PilotNation! I've been thinking for a couple of days about posting a message that "This just won't do!" in terms of the lack of action on the Women's Soccer forum. Here we are, only 7 weeks to the first game of the 2009 season and everyone has gone on vacation. But not you. So now, I don't have to post my message. Again, welcome!

Did you hear anything about the game.. it was wierd...kind of like a try out.. but a lot of disapointing play on both sides .. it was a lightening delay to begin with and then they were kicked out fo the main arena and sent to a side field because the pro Mens team was taking the field... I felt bad for them... some honor..then Foxhoven only played about ten minutes and in that ten minutes she played well with what she had to work with. drunken
