The real injustice in this is that those jerks who call themselves experts at the NCAA have almost guarenteed that the best attended, most watched team in the country will have 1) only one game at home after none last year if UCLA wins and 2) that we will have to play at UCLA again! What good does it do to have a member of the Pilots staff on this committee if he can't talk some sense into their process? I, for one, am sick and tired of hearing that "it's just the way the process is." Sometimes there has to be some good sense prevail.

UP and USC both got really screwed. This is completely bogus. Colorado has no right to host these games: there'll be 300 people at their game. Total BS.

It's the same old story year after year. Consensus #3 team in the country, perfect WCC season, won last 8 games by a combined 24-1 score, lead the country in attendance (for the THIRD straight year)... yet STILL sent to travel. It really just makes me sick.

I don't mind not getting a #1 seed too much (Stanford and Penn State were maybe questionable), but being put on the same side as UCLA... that just seems overly unfair. Why pit the #1 and #3 teams against each other in the quarterfinals? I just don't get it at all... and it's not a regional thing - we could have easily been in Stanford's quadrant. AHHH! It just makes me so crazy.

Oh, and by the way... even if we did get a #1 seed, we wouldn't have hosted. The rule that #1 seeds get to host no matter what goes into effect NEXT year instead of this year. So really we were screwed either way.

Sigh... oh well... see you at the Tennessee game next weekend!

I had to edit to say I'm with you guys....totally upset that we aren't hosting! Colorado?? No sense to this at all! But...like the team...decision's been made...have to find something positive and move forward!!!

Kendra and Keelin will have a large number of supporters at the game. CU games have averaged about 1200, so there should be a fair crowd, but it is nothing like seeing a game at Merlo. We will go in and take care of business I am sure!

Danielle Foxhoven may be among those cheering on the Pilots, perhaps even sitting near the bench . . .

Frankly, I think the only real disappointment is not getting to see them play a couple more games at home. I think they'll be walking away from the opening weekend the winner, regardless of where they play.

Assuming we get UCLA in the quarterfinals, while I'd love to have them at home, I'm happy to smack them around anywhere. The Pilots will have both Sophie and Stephanie back for the rematch, and I think it will turn out differently.

The author of the portlandpilots.com story on the seeding cleary is having a hard time containing their feelings. Its actually sorta entertaining.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder why we bother to support Buzz Stroud any more in this process. What good does he do if he can't bring some fiscal sense to things as he could have guaranteed a better return for the NCAA with the Pilots hosting. I really can't buy the story that he has to excuse himself from discussions about the Pilots. We all know how much goes on behind the scenes and outside of the official discussion in these things. It happens everywhere, so why can't Buzz do better by his Pilots, and also by the best fans in the country. That outstanding support should mean something in a just process.

I'm feeling pretty good. Sure, traveling sucks, is an injustice, and shows what ChickenSh*ts the NCAA is for running a tournament this way, But

I'd rather see Tennessee and Colorado than Virginia and San Diego

And I feel pretty good about facing UCLA with all our players back. They just squeaked out the last one when we were shorthanded.

I know it is disappointing to be sure, but the coaching staff and players are used to this. The seniors have had to go through this every year and have always performed like the champions they are!
