2010 Schedules
I see the first schedule is out looking at the news feed tab on the recruiting spreadsheet. It is only for W. Ill of the Summit league, but others are likely to follow soon. They do play a few recent tourney teams: SEMO, S. Dak St, and IUPUI for example.

Re: 2010 Schedules
Several teams have posted spring schedules now. Including UNC and NEB. NEB has quite a schedule with 10 games against a lot of teams that made the tourney. Didn't know you could play so many games in the spring?

Re: 2010 Schedules
Enjoy the Spring ball this year.
you can play as many teams as you want. What's restricted is the 5 DAYS of competition (plus a National team or Alumni team). Some schools are electing to play two or three games a day to get all the players involved. sometimes those are shortened scrimmages.
There's a proposal on the docket to restrict travel in the off season to ground transportation (for all sports but the revenue ones). this means UNC will be playing High Point in the Spring instead of Notre Dame, and will restrict our play to one of the Oregon and Washington schools. The is one proposal that would exempt Hawaii, but there's another that wouldn't. If that passes, Spring ball is over for them. There's another that follows the 400 mile rule.
It's definitely cost cutting time in the NCAA.

Location: "We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I took the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...."
