Where's Sophie?

At the PanAm games today, the US U-20 (with Michelle Enyeart) beat Cananda's Senior Team (with Christine Sinclair) 2-1. The Canadians got their butts kicked by Brasil 7-0 last Friday. As the this is supposed to be tune-up tournament in preparation for the World Cup, things are not looking very good for Canada.

Anyone hear what's happened to Sophie? I didn't see her listed on the Canadian roster for the PanAm games? Did they take her to Brasil? Will they still take her to China for the World Cup?

Sophie isn't on the Pan Am roster. Don't know why. That may change, considering te defensive performance of the CNT defense the last couple games.

She did play Saturday for the Vancouver Whitecaps, so she's healthy.

Ouch... 7-0 to Brazil? Admittedly enough, the Canadian team didn't look too great when they played against the Pilots. I mean, sure they won the game, but they didn't look like a top-notch all-world calibur team.

Of course I wish them the best in the World Cup, but actually... the sooner we get Sophie back, the better!

Still, I would never bet against a team with Christine Sinclair on it!
