Regular season games all the way into November? Are the playoffs later this year?

Tough schedule indeed. Wow!

But I have a question... why is the Santa Clara game at home? My memory isn't all that great, but I definitely do remember beating the Broncos 2-0 at the friendly confines of Merlo Field last season.

Would we really be playing them at home again?

Didn't we play them away in 2003 and 2004?

KTFC, you're right. I just seem to remember playoff games falling on my birthday and thinking they were the 3rd round games, but they were 2nd round ones.

Edit: we did play Santa Clara back-to-back in '03 and '04

Look at the great home games...! and minimal travel, really... a fairly mobile fan (travelling only as far as Seattle & Corvallis) could see 14 games this fall in person or on TV (I am hopeful for more tv coverage via CSN!):

3 games @ Merlo
2 games @ Seattle
3 games @ Merlo
@ Rutgers (On TV)
@ Penn St
@ Merlo.
@ Corvallis
@ Spokane
2 @ Merlo
2 @ Bay Area
@ Merlo
@ San Diego

Playing SCU @ Merlo is huge. Bring It On!

Wow, great start to the season. Unfortunately my wife and I are almost certain to miss at least one of those games early in the season, as my wife is due to give birth to our first child around that time. So the Pilots should have one more small member of Pilot Nation cheering for them come Conference play! :face:

Congrats, aleppiek!!! You'll love being a Dad. There's nothing in the world like it. And a brand new Pilots fan! I can see see her/him in a liitle Pilots hat and outfit. (That would probably be in the 2009 season.) cheers cheers cheers

I'm jealous, actually. My kids are grown up. I still love them like crazy, but the memory of them when they were younger, is just indescribable. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

As for the 2008 schedule, what can I say: It's great! Lots of home games, some terrific opponents, and I agree with PilotNut. I am hoping CSN picks up 3-4 games or so. Any more than that would be just gravy! Razz Razz Razz

Gotta think that CSN will pick up the first weekend (please CSN) As it is a huge weekend, Hopefully it will be televised so I can watch it at home with my wife and the little one.
