U18's in Spain

The women's U18 team beat Sweden 2-nil in La Manga Spain.

The team is coached by ex-Wisconsin coach Dean Duerst, and has recruits Michelle Olivier and Charney Burke on the team.

No word on who played and how the game went.

In the second game of the La Manga tournament, The USA beat Norway 1-0 on a goal by Laurie Nosbusch in the 4th minute (assist McCarty)

Michelle Olivier played the whole game, Charney Burke came in in the 56th.

Shots USA-Norway were 9-8 , fouls were 16-15

Friday they play the France u19 team for the tournament title.

The u18's tied France's u19 team today 1-1 in La Manga

The US scored in the 40th, the French answered in the 86th.

The US finishes with a 2-0-1 record.

Italy beat the Netherlands 2-1, which gives them a 3-0 record for the tournament, and the cup.

No word yet on who played or scored for the USA.

Michelle Olivier came in in the 46th and got a caution in the 59th. Charney didn't play.

Maybe Dean Duerst will rethink that in the future.
