Brandon Johnson

The San Diego upset of St. Mary's tonight was pretty amazing. Brandon did stuff I don't think I've seen a WCC player do in the 16 years I've been watching the tournament.

An amazing turn-around by USD tonight...

USD in a 2OT late game tonight... will they have legs left tomorrow? 3rd game in 3 days...

yeah, you have to think their legs will be rubber.

...but wouldn't that be something? I can't say I was impressed with the 'Zags (haven't been all season)...but boy did USD show up to play last night. Tonight could be very interesting.

That was an amazing comeback last night - great game to watch. I love Brandon Johnson's game. He's got a lot of heart and is pretty talented as well.

I'd love to see USD win tonight and have the WCC get three teams in the tourney. Gonzaga's obviously in no matter what happens tonight. You would have to think St. Marys gets in no matter what, with a 33 RPI and wins against Oregon, Seton Hall, etc. But.. stranger things have happened. It would be totally unjust if they didn't get a bid. Three teams would be great for the conference - but as someone else pointed out, USD's got to be running on fumes and emotion at this point. They'll really have to dig deep to stay in the game. If they can keep it close until the end, they've always got a chance with Brandon Johnson on their team and playing at home.

Great news about the tourney moving to Vegas in 2009. Whoo hooo !!!
