Larry Williams on KXL Radio...

Larry Williams was a featured guest on Sports Business Radio this afternoon (KXL 750). He discussed the soccer program, the soccer complex, spring soccer exhibitions (mention of U-23 women, MLS teams), success of our fall programs, the land purchase and impact it may have on athletics (potential baseball complex on the river), video streaming and potential for future sports video streamed (soccer hopefully!!!), relationship with Comcast and plans for soccer coverage next year on CSN (with good ratings, he noted). Also, former UP Tennis All-American Travis Parrott is scheduled to be on next.

Was there a good summary of where exactly we stand on the land negotiations?

Last I heard, there was an agreement on terms (the second time around) and it was just a matter of getting the minutia re-negotiated. That was at the end of 2007, and there was a thought that it could be complete in the early stages of 2008. I havent heard a thing since... I would be curious what Larry said.

A new baseball complex is going to have to be high on the priority list. OSU and UO will have significantly upgraded/new facilities, GU has a new stadium, as does SCU off the top of my head. We need to keep up with the competition... How great would a river-side baseball stadium be?!
