Looks like the LA Galaxy took Gavin fourth in the Supplemental draft. Can anybody explain what this means? Does he have a realistic chance of making on the team come next season? It would be cool to see a Pilot on the field consistently with players like Beckham and Donovan.

My best guess is that he would have to be most likely to be a candidate for the second team or reserves. I know a few years back Luis and Miguel were both taken in the supplemental draft and played with the team for a while before more established players won out (In Miguel's case) or lept over the pond to Germany (Which seems to be the place of choice for former Pilots to land). It would be awesome to get a little Pilot action with Becks, Donovan and (maybe) Luis Figo if rumors hold up. I'm not holding my breath, but chances are he will get a shot. It will all depend on the GM (Alexi Lalas) and coach (Ruud Gullit) and whether he fits into the "sexy football" they are trying to craft down in LA.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed bounce

I think Michael has a decent shot of making the development team with hopes of getting 1st team action.
He's a very versitile player solid at LB, CB (although size could prohibit that) and LM positions.
He turned down a trial with Dallman's team in Germany for the draft, so i hope this does work out for him.

Griffin is currently trialing in Gavin's place.
