Drew Eubanks

Drew Eubanks at Oregon State, who I believe Coach Reveno tried to recruit for UP, is leaving OSU after his junior season. HE has hired an agent and declared for the NBA draft. Speculation is that he will be a late draftee or go undrafted.

Eubanks was a very good pitcher at Reynolds High School and was a late bloomer in basketball.  UP was the first university Eubanks visited, but because of his late development he was not actively recruited by UP until OSU was in the mix and it was too late to get his commitment.

Another PF from that year, 2015, was Robert Franks, from Evergreen High School in Vancouver. Franks was also recruited late by UP, but there was still a chance of his commitment until Coach Ernie Kent showed-up and Franks was hooked by his charm and charisma. Now Franks, this season's Pac-12 Most Improved Player, has also declared for the draft, but he has NOT hired an agent.

It's been surmised by some that the near miss on Eubanks and Franks after their late recruitment by UP was the reason UP camped on Joseph Smoyer early, and despite his less than D1 demonstrated performance, was signed in the hopes he would develop like the other two.
