Baseball 2018

The PNW has a few very good baseball teams, notably Oregon State and Washington, but now another school seems to have joined the list....Gonzaga!

The results in the double-elimination WCC Championship in Stockton the last three days left no doubt the Bulldogs are the best team in the WCC.

Gonzaga (32-22) and UCLA (36-19) will throw out the first pitch at 11 a.m. PT/1 p.m. CT at Seibert Field on Friday on ESPNU, followed by (1) Minnesota (41-13) and (4) Canisius (35-20) at 7 p.m. CT.

Pat Casey (a UP alumnus) announces his retirement as head coach of Oregon State baseball. He has three national championships. Hats off to a great career. Maybe he will want to volunteer coach on the Bluff for his spare time?

The O article says Casey is staying at OSU as an Assoc. A.D. Says he is really conflicted about retiring. I suspect the last couple years have been difficult for him.
