Men's and Women's Cross Country both ranked 7th

Post by ehk21 on Tue Sep 27, 2016 6:25 pm

I am amazed that no one has posted anything about the men's and women's cross country teams. Both teams won the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational titles over the weekend. The men defeated all six Big-Ten teams in the competition, the women defeated all seven Big-Ten teams they encountered. We're not even talking about all the Pac-12, SEC, and Big-12 teams they vanquished.

The new national polls are out and both Pilot teams are ranked 7th in the nation. Let's celebrate the two Pilot squads that are highly competitive on a national level and are beating the likes of Michigan and Penn State.

You are right. This is a fantastic accomplishment by both Pilot teams that should be recognized and applauded on this forum. This is an amazing group of student athletes who have competed against and beaten some of the best runners in the country. You can expect more of the same in future meets as these Pilots are motivated to succeed. Thanks Coach Conner and Coach Solof for doing such a great job!

Nice to see the woman's program start to really gain traction.
