Director's Cup
UP's performance this fall gained it 38th place among all D1 schools in the US Sports Academy's Director's Cup.

It's a measure of the success of a school's success in athletics. As the release points out, It's also places UP fourth when non-BCS schools only are taken into account.
It's not pointed out in the release, but I also believe that places UP first among schools that don't have a football program (the pointy kind)
Santa Clara placed 49th, San Diego 91st on that list. They are the only other WCC schools in the top 100.

Re: Director's Cup
Awesome!!!
This really is pretty darn impressive... even if some people might scoff and say we got our point in "only" soccer and cross country, the fact of the matter is that this proves that the Pilots, at least in fall sports, are competitive at the national level at a higher level than any of our WCC bretheren. And that's not anything to just sneeze at - it's a great, great accomplishment.
Congrats Pilots!!!
