Preliminary result show that UP had 4 out of the top 15 runners in the west regionals, good enough for 2nd at least!

Stay tuned.

Wow, only three points back of Stanford. I guess, based on rankings we finished right where we were supposed to, but I am still impressed by the guys. Hoping for a strong showing at Nationals!

Four in the top 15 is insane. Only down 3 to Stanfurd? Razor close margin. Nice work Pilots!

Hmm, not sure how we missed a year without some discussion of the West Regional’s, but today in Sacramento the UP Men's and Women's teams run for a chance to go to the Nationals.

Last I heard one of UP's best runners was day-to-day with a possible stress fracture after running the course in Malibu.....let's hope it was only a muscle strain and he's good to go.

I heard the men came in third behind Oregon and Stanford.....

Third place means the team heads to the Nationals next week in Terre Haute.

Bummer. At least we advance.
BYU 4th in the Mountain Region, arguably the hardest region this year.

It's worth noting that Woody Kincaid didn't run for Portland. He's our #2 runner. If he places where he probably would have, UP would have either won or finished a very close second to Stanford.

Hopefully he was held out just to give him some rest before nationals next week... clearly, we didn't need him to run at regionals to advance. He ran very well at the WCC championship.
