Pilots win @ Montana !

Post by PilotNut on Fri Dec 07, 2007 7:49 pm

Nik Raivio hits a ridiculous 3 with 7 seconds left to re-take the lead, and hold on.

HUGE WIN ON THE ROAD! Montana is a VERY difficult place to play.

In spite of shooting 8-17 from the freethrow line....

Sounded like a good all-around effort. Watson didn't score, but had 6 assists. Sikma filled up the stat sheet, and although Ito didn't due much stat-wise, sounds like he was a big factor at both ends.

Raivio=clutch. Would it be too much to think we have a chance at UW?

Video highlights of the game

Post by PilotNut on Sat Dec 08, 2007 12:15 pm

Thanks to MtZag from the GU board posting this... a link to a TV news station with 2 sets of video highlights of the end of the game, including Nik's long trey and Montana's last attempt (man, they got off a good look!). Nik's 3 was huge! Very Happy

Re: Pilots win @ Montana !

Thanks for posting those, PilotNut!

To answer MesaPilot's question... no, I actually didn't get the chance to watch the game. My plans were to come home from work and watch it, but then I got sidetracked and ended up going out to dinner. (It was a girl... what was I supposed to do?) But I did get to come home and listen to the last few minutes... I guess I'm just not much of a Pilot fan. Wink

This is definitely an awesome win for the Pilots... Montana is a solid team with a good inside-outside game. If we can beat them on the road in that kind of environment, we can beat some of the WCC teams as well. I too think that we could have a chance against Washington, though they are looking pretty good against Pittsburgh right now.

Anyway, I think I'm going up to Seattle for the game... anybody else?

They are still in denial in Montana

Post by Geezaldinho on Sat Dec 08, 2007 10:23 pm

If you watch the news broadcast, after they cut back to the studio, the final score flashes up as Pilots 57 - Montana 58

Should we tell 'em?
