Gonzaga has to be pleased to have finally not lost a WCC game this year; UP and GU struggled to a 1-1 tie in Spokane today.

Gonzaga is now 4-13-1 (0-11-1) while Portland is 7-9-2 (5-5-1)

The game was physical; 29 fouls in all, but was very even in shots and shots on goal.

Sr. MF Joe Sleven, a grad of Lincoln HS in Portland, scored the equalizer three minutes into the second half, but that was it.

The Pilots visit USF on Sunday.....and that's it; no more men's soccer until next season!

I was watching the women practice and checking the scores ( or one of my minions was ) all those fouls at about the 66th were UP 3, GU 12.

The Men’s Soccer Team finished up the season today in a scoreless draw at USF.

From what I watched, USF had the run of play for the most part, but 11 saves by UP’s Justin Baarts kept the Pilots seniors from going out on a losing note.

UP finishes the season at 7-9-3 (5-5-2) after finishing the league schedule with tie games at Gonzaga and USF.

Congratulations to the six seniors on the team for their fine careers at UP; now it’s time to graduate and get a job!
