What's the status of Ellen Parker? Any chance she plays again this year?

I see you weren't at Senior night. She played 35 minutes and did well in UP's 5-0 win over USF.

The word about Micaela, from a much better source than the media article that mentioned her, is that there is a good chance she will play this weekend.

I imagine that if we see her play, it will be off the bench. Which I am fine with since our starting 11 have played quite well recently.

Exactly!

Substituting as needed is fine, but done mess with a fine running machine and winning formula now.

Don't get me wrong, I like Micaela's play as much as the next fan....but the tendency when coming back from an extended time off is to try to do too much.

Micaela is hoping to practice this week for the first time. If that goes well she might see time off the bench, as Ellen did on Saturday. Unlikely that either of them will start or be able to play 90 minutes, but both could make huge contribution off the bench.

Capelle did get in against WSU but Parker did not play. The team could have used her when the Cougars were dominating the midfield in the first half and the Pilots attack was generating few shots. Perhaps another week will see her ready to go, but it may be "wait till next year" (or "next round" if the soccer gods are willing) if the coach thinks she would not make an impact or might risk further injury, given her time away.

Ellen was limping pretty bad, I would think we will have to wait for a full recovery there. Her dad said there was a reinjury and more treatment.

Micaela looked good, if she doesn't relapse, we might expect more minutes there.

DJ was limping earlier in the week and didn't get on the field until Thursday. She looks like she is fighting through her injury. With luck, she will be better next week.
