Recording Help Empty Recording Help

Post by HRZag Thu Nov 29, 2007 2:46 pm

Any chance of somebody recording (dvd preferable, vhs ok) the game tomorrow night?

Out of town and no access to Comcast.

I know it is a pain, but I would be most grateful.

Despite my screen name, long time UP women's soccer season ticketholder and fan. Really.

Thanks, Go Z....er Pilots!

PM if willing

The game will likely be replayed at least once later next week, as well... I was able to catch the Tennessee game this week.

I will probably tape the game with my cruddy ol' VHS if you dont get a better offer. Wink

I will be taping, as usual, and will post the pertinent stuff on YouTube, as usual, and will burn copies of the game to DVD for interested parties, as usual.

However, I've noticed that my burned disks are sometimes "ghosting," and I think it's because the program removes every third frame or something to fit the entire broadcast on a 2-hour disc.

Recording Help Empty Re: Recording Help

Just to be clear, of my situation, I LIVE out of town and do not get Comcast.

The replays won't help, but will give me multiple chances of coming up with a copy, somehow.

Doesn't there seem like there should be some sort of service that could do this? I know, I know, copyrighted material, but isn't the idea of getting it viewed by as many people as possible part of it.

I know, it would drive the lawyers nuts.

I have wondered why we shouldnt be able to go to any television network's web site and watch replays of shows, etc., that have already aired. They can keep the ads in... I know it has to do with licensing and the cable/sat companies... but sheesh.

This whole "on demand" thing really should be further advanced by now! Razz
