Re: Douglas
Back to Tim D. He says he disagreed with Rev's decision to play him at shooting guard, i.e. at a wing position. I agree with him, I thought he shouldn't be playing the wing either. But the alternative was to sit him down, as he was creating too many turnovers. And they can't all be the fault of his teammates not being in position to catch his passes.
Best of luck to him at his new school.

There are no protests or free food, of course. It's a good April fools. But, the theme park would not be the first religious theme park ever. Argentina has one: Link 1 and Link 2 (in case you want to see Christ resurrected every hour on the hour). I would personally be okay with a theme park. Better recruiting! Just think of the potential for getting great athletes if they can go to a theme park instead of practice!

I did think banning all attendence at athletic events because nobody goes anyway was kind of harsh.

I thought Snooki speaking at the alcohol awareness meeting was strange.

I thought it was pretty funny! It was probably directed primarily at the lack of student attendance.up7587 wrote:I did think banning all attendence at athletic events because nobody goes anyway was kind of harsh.

Re: Douglas
Portland State. Did not see that coming.
I can see where there would be opportunities for him. In two seasons when he's eligible, Lateef McMullan, their starting PG this season, will be gone. He was really the only guy to play significant minutes at that position (PSU only went about 7 deep last season). Gary Winston, who played more as a SG, was the only guard who came off the bench much at all. The guards behind them were a sophomore transfer who sat this season and two true freshmen. I don't know how many of those are PGs but the competition looks to be open for Tim.

Re: Douglas
Me either. Surprising. When Dominguez ended up at Portland State it made some sense to me as he is from Salem and it made sense if he wanted to stay close to home.
I would have thought Tim would have many places to pick from, some closer to home and some farther than UP. Maybe he just really likes the city or maybe it really looked like the best option basketball wise.

Re: Douglas
Douglas should be going up for starting time at the point against Dre Winston when he's eligible after next season.

Cool. Next season it will be interesting to see who steps up now that Odum and Tapscott are gone. I liked watching both of them.

You and me both. Tapscott especially. Very talented with a high basketball IQ.
