Unable to confirm, but UCLA website claims game on ESPNU

I saw this today, none of the tv listing services (ie. titantv.com.....) has it as being on ESPNU yet, so we will have to wait and see.

I am glad my office has Directv.

Hmmm, I hope this is true!

The ESPN.com site has ESPNU airing the Wazzu vs. Baylor men's basketball game from 6-8pm on Friday...??

I have been scouring the tv listings trying to find one that has it, I would imagine if it had just been decided in the last day or 2 that the listings would be a little slow to update... Just wish the UP athletics site would say something about it.

No wait-- Women's basketball then..Hmm.

Maybe Comcast can get the feed at a decent rate -- Maybe I gotta go to Yorgo's?

I may be naive to the workings of the TV companies, but you would think that because ESPNU is not available on Comcast they may be more willing to sell broadcast rights.

Here's the original announcement for the Santa Clara and USD games on TV and what they said about ESPNU then.

ESPNU has secured distribution agreements with Cox, DIRECTV (Channel 609), Echostar's DISH Network (Channel 148), Insight Communications, Mediacom, Verizon, several smaller affiliates and is close to distribution agreements with others. The 24-hour television network is the key component of the multimedia ESPNU initiative that will also deliver college sports content across ESPN's family of services, such as ESPN The Magazine, ESPN Radio, ESPN360, merchandising and more.

I notice Comcast is conspicuously absent from the affiliates list. They are still having their little war about Blazer games, so I suspect there won't be any desire to cooperate for little UP.

We'll have to get it on satellite or someone who gets ESPNU.
