Mitrovic and Maple Leafs

As another Canuck, I like keeping track of them down south.

What has happened to his game this season? He is ten points off his FG% from last season and is over 15 points off his 3 PT FG%.

Is he injured or was Stohl that significant to his his game?

Or has he been more concerned watching his Leafs slide out of the playoff picture again?

I've gotta assume that part of his funk is that teams are keying in on him as the #1 threat, rather than as the #2 threat last year.

But he just looks off. He isn't hitting shots that he made last year. And it's not a very statistical measure but he has no swagger this year. I don't know what is up.

I'm no psychologist, nor have I played one on TV, but it's got to be between the ears. The first half of the year he was very frustrated and emotional, now he just seems resigned. I was very surprised that coach gave him the ball for the final shot against USF today.

Agreed, that I think the issue is now between the ears... he has lost all swagger/confidence. Between him falling off the face of the earth statistically, and Douglas & Rodgers never taking perimeter shots, we are pretty easy to defend out there and get double teamed down low.

At minimum, as 1 of the 2 seniors, we needed him to LEAD this team... and he certainly has not stepped up to the plate. Sadly, Waterford hasnt been in the position to do that either... Who is the leader of this team?

He should be used to the Leafs' futility by now.

I hate to tell Pilot Nation that at the SMC game in Moraga, Waterford at first refused to enter the closing minutes of the game at Coach's behest. We were very surprised to see Waterford's reaction from behind the bench.

Eric was hurt again tonight and spent most of te game on the bench with ice on his knee after starting the game. No word on prognosis.

i have not eeb posting for several months, or much of any activity with PN. call it a sabbatical.
