This was a tight game until 13 minutes to go with UP leading 40-37. At that point it was like the men at Boise St. on Wednesday night, the Pilots went stone-cold and Washington took advantage of fouls and turnovers to steadily pull ahead. UP was shooting at 50% early, but ended up at 34% for the night.
The Pilots had 21 turnovers and were whistled for 17 fouls, putting them in a hole their cold shooting could not dig them out of.
Natalie Day scored 18 points, but had 9 turnovers. Keisha Brown had 15 points in one of her better games of the season, and Canadian Cassandra Brown had 7 rebounds.
