Rev on State School Rivalries

A nice little string of tweets from Rev earlier. Glad to hear his interest in maintaining local rivalries is intact, and really, I think basketball in the state in general benefits in having all of its programs actually participate in rivalry... And that home/home in the same week is a very cool idea with PSU, would be fun if the fans could actually feel the rivalry there, but you can't just FORCE it....

Playing in-state schools is great for all involved and I would much rather play in the Stott Center, Eugene or Corvalis then out of state.

We have also told Portland State we would be willing to play them twice in the same year - home and. home. I like idea of twice same week.

I understand Oregon State and Oregon game maybe not being every year but would be nice every couple of years. PSU needs to be every year.

@w_maxey Given our schedule it is silly to say Portland Basketball does not want to play someone. Preparing for tough WCC play. Not hiding.

I wish we had more games against U of O, OSU, and PSU... but according to this article UP chose to end the series with PSU. It's a little way down the page under "Pilot Basketball."

I'm not so sure I want to play PSU twice a year, but certainly once a year!

After reading some of the other sections and topics in that article, I find it to be a questionable source... and many opinions there that I do not agree with...
