Blazers East?

Post by PurpleGeezer on Wed Dec 07, 2011 12:00 pm

it looks like the franchise moved to Minnesota. I wonder if Paul knows?

MINNEAPOLIS -- Rick Adelman is bringing plenty of familiar faces with him to the Minnesota Timberwolves coaching staff.

Adelman announced on Wednesday that Terry Porter, Jack Sikma, T.R. Dunn and Bill Bayno will join him as assistants on his staff.

I was wondering where Sikma would land now that Yao retired... Teaching Kevin Love the signature 180 pivot move could be pretty devastating...

And the Blazers apparently decided to get all Zaggy??

Goes to show you that it is all about who you know. How many other assistants out there are more qualified than those four? Plenty. Plenty with more experience and better motivators I'm sure.

What? I actually think it´s a very good group. If Adelman got sick or was ejected, there is more than one coach on that staff who could run the show. I also like the idea of Sikma mentoring Love to improve his offensive game a little bit. Besides, Adelman isn´t just going to go out and choose assistants who aren´t going to buy into the system that he wants to run. These guys will buy in, and there shouldn´t be much conflict.
