WCC Tourney Vegas 2011

Hello from the Sahara, where Mrs. PilotDrummer and I are staying for the weekend festivities. Santa Clara defeated San Francisco 62-58 to advance to tomorrow's game at 12 noon against the Pilots.

On the other half of the bracket, USD leads LMU 30-12 with 5 left in the first.

Halfway through the first half and the Pilots have jumped out to an 20-7 lead

Nice win 75-64 Rezina had 28, Natalie had 17 and was again dominant on the boards.

Now all they have to do is knock off the Zags tomorrow.

Good news: Tara "Cranial Assassin" Cronin got her 1,000 point the band gets to entertain the USF Radio Announcer for at least another day, a Portland team advances to "Semifinal Sunday" and the band, Dance team, myself, and a spectacular effort from Byrd's family out supported the Santa Clara fams.

Bad news: no Lauren Angel and as Geez mentioned, they play Gonzaga next.

The team knocked off Gonzaga in Spokane a few seasons ago, here's to them doing it again!

Meanwhile at the third MTO, the PEP-USD game is full of 3s because the interior D is strong on both sides, as PEP leads 27-25. Since 3rd and 7th was so close during conference play, anything can happen

Pep stopped hitting. USD didn't. So they are up by 11
