Here's the game highlights.
Check out Christine's man down goal near the end of the game. WOW!
And Canada looks lie they were playing Brasil pretty even.
she's getting pretty good at lifting cups.
I have no idea what Marta was rattling on about in her interview. She was talking too fast.

Great shot. We sure were lucky to get to see Christine play all those games at Merlo.

This is a match in which Teresa Noyola played for Mexico. Pretty sure a senior team cap means she's committed to Mexico now. The US might have been able to use her.

I don't think she is Yet tied to Mexico. She isn't committed until she plays an official or "A" level match, like a WC qualifier, or a Fifa match like the cconfederations Cup. Friendlies don't count.
But her time is running out. Perhaps this is her way to serve notice that she wants more attention.
I don't think she helped her cause when she told Dicicco she would commit to the 2008 cup, then backed out in September, I think before classes, citing school commitments. I think the commitment was that her college coach convinced her to play for Stanford and try to get to the college Cup, now that OHara was no longer with the WC team.
He wrote in his final report he felt she wasn't forthright.

That's the rule I was thinking of. I knew guys like Bunbury weren't tied to the men's team yet even though they played in the last friendly.

The breakaway goal by Marta was awesome! Pushed the ball forward and then just shifted to warp speed to outrun her 2 defenders! Yikes!
I guess...Christine left her purse at home?
