Is the Clock Ticking on Spoelstra?
Miami Heat and their superstars are 9-8, and held a players only meeting after losing at Dallas tonight. Never a good sign. How many games until Pat Riley relieves Erik and steps in? Because it can't be the fault of a bunch of overpaid prima donna players, can it?

Clearly it isn't THEIR fault... But sadly I would be shocked if he sees 2011 as the head coach....

Yeah, he's in trouble. I don't think that a players only meeting is a bad sign though. The players probably know that it's their fault. Obviously, Erik isn't telling them to play one-on-one basketball or to regress to their pre-Redeem Team tendencies...
Oh well, I wish the best for Erik, and at the same time, he makes more $ than any of us. Whatever happens, he'll be fine. If he manages to weather the storm, he could have one of the easiest coaching gigs out there in 2-3 months. They just have to focus on defense and unselfish play again...

Here is video of Lebron giving Spoelstra a hard shoulder as he went to the bench. Lebron is such a tool (the only word I could use and not test the PN cuss word filter
)
We need to look at the bright side. Maybe Spoelstra will be available for the soon to be vacancy with the Blazers

Hahha well the blazers problems are a bit more complex than a coaching change, but seconded!

Re: Is the Clock Ticking on Spoelstra?
Oh, oh. Dwayne Wade says: "Me and LeBron are going to continue to try to find a way with the game plan we have. We're trying to be effective. We have a great coaching staff; I'm sure they'll look at things and see how to utilize us a little better."
So the coaches are not utilizing Wade and LeBron effectively. Guess that's why Dwayne is shooting 13 of 62 in their losses.
More commentary about this at the LINK.

When your star player is a few years younger than me but his knees are in nearly the same condition as my dad's, that's an issue.

Sadly that could apply to more than one player on the roster....

Maybe we should all make a road trip and meet Spoelstra at this bar... They've got us covered there:

Haha, good marketing. When Heats loses, you get a refund. Your refund is a gift card you need to come back to use.onetouchfutbol wrote:Maybe we should all make a road trip and meet Spoelstra at this bar... They've got us covered there:

Now the win streak is up to 12! Great coaching, Erik... It's hard to root for the coach, but, not the team...
