NCAA XC championships 2010
Going off tomorrow folks. Just like in the last few years, you can watch the whole thing online. Hopefully they replaced the idiot reporter who interviewed Chris Derrick after the race last year.

Re: NCAA XC championships 2010
Does anyone know who is still hurt and who is fit to run? If it's the same athletes who ran at regionals with an injured Kipchumba, any finish in the top 15 would be a pretty good result. Let's see if Trevor Dunbar can get All-America status.

No idea. I've got big hopes for Dunbar though. Hopefully we'll see him up front like we saw Kinsella in '08. I really think he can hang with the big boys. The guy is an amazing talent.

Trevor was 24th at the 5k mark, then I think he moved up a few at the end.

They showed the top 31 teams unofficially, I didn't see UP listed, but maybe I missed it.

Re: NCAA XC championships 2010
Pilots finish a very respectable 13th:
1 22 528 Trevor Dunbar SO 30:21
2 38 532 Alfred Kipchumba JR 30:37
3 50 533 Lars Erik Malde SO 30:42
4 87 526 Peter Christmas SR 31:12
5 165 534 Aaron Scott JR 32:07
6 (182) 530 Craig Hopkins JR 32:32
7 (203) 529 Matt Frerker JR 33:10
Now just imagine... if we would have had Osoro and he would have placed, say, 40th... our team score would have been 237, or tied with Stanford at #4.
Sigh...

Full results here.

Pilots 13th. Looks like Kipchumba did run, but no Osoro. Big drop off between 4th and 5th. Another finisher around Peter Christmas, and we'd be challenging Oregon for 6th place.
Tough year given our expectations, but the good news is we only lose Christmas from this squad due to graduation.
PS....we beat CU! hahahaha

Re: NCAA XC championships 2010
Solid finish for the Pilots. Seems like the last few years we have had a would've/could've scenario based on injury. Would love to see everyone go into Nats healthy next year. Overall though, very happy with our XC program!!
