Concordia-Irvine could be a handful - they are a highly-ranked NAIA team featuring Taylor King, who played at both Duke and Villanova (and actually played, wasn't just on the roster) and Peter Smith, who started several games for USF two years ago. They've also got a lot of returning talent from a 31-win season. They beat UC-Irvine by ten (on the road) already this year, and last year beat UC-Irvine and nearly knocked off UCLA (the Bruins won by 1 on a last-second three).

So... this will definitely be a test. Here's hoping all the new faces can step up and contribute - we're going to need them!

So is Game Central not streaming video? All I see is an audio, is there somewhere else to watch?

Glad to be out of there with the win today. One look at all the turnovers and it's easy to see the difference guys like TJ and Nik made last year. I like Luke and Kramer showing the freshmen the work rate it takes at this level.

I hope in March we can look back at this game and see how the team has come along since then.

Met david carr at concordia game who said he would sign LOI wednesday as would dorian cason. one plus for david he has a nik ravio haircut even bears a slight resembalence, about 20 lbs lighter. I was disappointed with pg play with waterford pretty erratic in my view.

Lots of room for improvement. Nem had a few unforced fumbles. There were big struggles on in-bounds plays, which seems like a carryover from last year. Also some defensive breakdowns in the paint.

I just assumed we were playing the local Concordia, until I read Stoney's preview post. Then I got concerned. Either that was a great NAIA team, or the Pilots have a long way to go. I suspect a little of both.
