After today's attendance of 3122 (not bad for a Sunday, but not the season average), the Pilots are just a few shy of the 40K mark.
Attendance is now 39963. that's a few thousand more than it has ever been before the end of the season, and puts UP on track to go over 50K by the second weekend or at least sometime during the tournament.
UP was the first team to top 40k, holds the current record of 47082 set in 2008, and if everything goes to plan, will now be the first team over 50K. It looks like it could be WELL over 50K.
a quick check with TAMU has them at just under 28K right now. no one else is close.

Pretty impressive especially when you consider a lot of schools don't even charge admission.
