OSU beat ASU 1-0
UO bear U of ARiz 4-0
Huskies, though outshot, are leading UCLA 1-0 at the half. (It started at 8:00)

What I like especially is that according to the GoCourage site, we are #1 in unadjusted RPI, ahead of Stanford by exactly .001. If Huskies hold over UCLA the advantage should be greater, and should last at least until tomorrow night. Get it while you can.

the adjusted RPI isn't as good.

Stanford .7307
Portland .7014

but we get a little closer if UW wins and Hawai'i looses (now tied in OT with
Nevada)

remember Hawai'i is the cupcake Stanford chose to open the weekend with us.)

Well that's what happened at Cal. But Leroux was not named to the latest version of the National roster; Morgan is the only college player on it. Check the UCLA stats, I think Leroux has played 70-80 minutes in all these recent UCLA games.

In the second half Washington did not lay back to protect its one goal lead, but continued to attack and threaten, while it didn't seem that UCLA ever got a truly good shot off during the second half. UCLA is definitely not the same team as in years past, as demonstrated by its 7 losses.

Yes, I know. He and I were having a laugh at UCLA.

UCLA's fall from grace this season shows how nothing can be taken for granted, and how fine the line can be between wins and losses. UCLA has talent, speed, reputation -- and too few goals for. Not that I will shed any tears for the Bruins. Just a cautionary tale for anyone who assumes that dynasties don't hit dry spells.
