America's Native Spirit
Well, well. While we here at PN often think of ourselves as beer lovers, this month turns out to be National Bourbon Heritage Month.

My bourbon of choice, of course, is the Wild Turkey, which I enjoy with 7up (actually, I'm a big Sprite fan). So, with what little time we have left in the month, perhaps we should go out, support the good people of Kentucky, and have ourselves a tasty bourbon cocktail. Here's some ideas for the bourbon novices in the group:

Cheers!

My favorite Bourbon & 7 recipe:
Ingredients: Wild Turkey (101 proof of course), ice, 7up.
1) Pour Wild Turkey over ice 2) give 7up to your wife, kids, or little sister 3) drink Wild Turkey.

My wife is a Grandad's fan. Her recipe is a little simpler.
1) chill bottle in ice. 2) Pour two finger's worth 3) wave vermouth bottle nearby 4) add cherry(must have stem)
The cherry gets re-dipped and sucked dry.
I had a bad intro to Bourbon as a freshman.( drinking age was 18 then)
Haven't even been able to even pour a glass of it since.

Haha. That was quite fun! I think we did a pretty good job celebrating your 21st given you were the only one of our group who was 21 at the time. Heck, we even went high class for you and got some Mac's or Deschutes, right?

Picked up a bottle of Four Roses recently, my uncle works for them. Good stuff, drink it straight.

Hmmm. . . I've never tried it. I may have to stop by the store on my way home.
