TAMU is one of the teams that has links to several first seed contenders. UNC and OK state are both on their schedule for example, so their RPI component for TAMU is he same as ours.
That Penn State appears to have tanked their schedule is probably more significant.

Stanford is actually the more important link for us, since they tied both UNC and BC, and will play UCLA and the rest of the PAC 10.
IF we beat them, we will claim superiority in both head to head and in wins against common opponents with their other opponents.

while it is certainly good if TAMU wins from here on out, CU was just a game, and not likely to be all that big a deal if we win today.

Of course, if we have no result today, we will be dependent on Stanford to struggle, not generally a good bet.

Penn State up 1-0 at the half over Michigan State on a PK By Christine Nairn. Maya Hayes brought down in the box. We have seen that same scenario at Merlo Field. MSU pressed a lot in the first half. I am being cautiously optimistic.

Penn State wins 1-0. Shots were equal at 12 each. Other stats were pretty equal. Penn State put more shots on goal in this game. Hope they continue to win if for no other reason but to help the Pilots RPI. Maybe PSU is too far in the hole at this point to help.

Here are the rest of the pertinent results. No losses or ties for top-6 teams, and any help for our RPI from TAMU, PennState, and and OKState is offset by Rutgers and WCC losses, some of which I had hoped might go the other way:

Louisville (8-2-0) vs. (5)Notre Dame (9-1-0) - L 0-5
Nebraska (8-3-0) vs. (22)Texas A&M (8-3-0) - L 1-2
(1)North Carolina (9-1-1) vs. (10)Virginia Tech (6-5-0) - W 2-1
North Carolina St. (7-4-0) vs. (7)Boston College (9-0-1) - L 0-1
Northern Ariz. (4-3-2) vs. Loyola Marymount (7-3-0) - W 2-0
Oklahoma St. (9-1-1) vs. Texas Tech (8-3-0) - W 2-0
#(19)Oregon St. (6-1-1) vs. UC Riverside (1-7-2) - W 3-0
(16)Penn St. (3-6-1) vs. Michigan St. (5-3-1) - W 1-0
Pepperdine (6-3-2) vs. Arizona St. (6-2-2) - T 0-0
San Francisco (4-7-0) vs. Washington (7-2-1) - L 0-2
(3)UCLA (7-2-1) vs. (12)Santa Clara (7-2-2) - W 1-0
Villanova (6-5-0) vs. Rutgers (6-5-0) - W 1-0

soemtimes those results aren't significant long term.

SFU - UW doesn't matter at all, since we play both.
