This was a splendid rambling thread. It's a sign that it's time for the season to start. Not that we don't go off on a tangent after first kick off, but not so badly. And more likely to get back on track when we have a game to dissect.

Kickoff can't come soon enough: Pilot Nation needs a game! Back to the starting lineup: Johnson should be at left mid. Likely Kreminski up front alongside Fox in the Box, or (long shot) Schmidt at striker with a different center mid. Can't wait to see how much smarter and better informed Garrett Smith is than I am about whom to play. All those new faces in the team picture means it's wise to get to Merlo early and start matching faces and numbers to names. PSU will have its hands full from the start -- if UP wants to make an opening statement about the season, here's when to make it.
