I like FSC. Their picture looks like it was shot with a Handycam, but they don't do TV timeouts.

Most FSC events are now available in HD if your carrier offers it. Comcast doesn't seem to, but maybe if we all harass them enough...

The WCC site made the official announcement about the game with USD on FSC.

The Pilots are going to be on the radio for the first time this year, too. Very Happy

It would be nice if all the away games at least were webcast.

Maybe you guys/gals can harrass my wife into letting me get Comcast DIGITAL!

(I have Comcast analog - I guess you would call it analog - which means I don't get FSC or ESPNU. But the new free home game live videos definitely take the sting out of this issue for me! And I do get all playoff games, home and away, on CSN.)

For you folks out there who don't have Comcast and still don't get Blazer games...I'm totally in your corner and think you're really getting screwed. Paul Allen should have fixed this from Day One. But I sometimes question just where that man's head is at. If you want me to make a call on your behalf, or sign a letter/petition, I would gladly do so. Not that it will do any good. That whole situation just wreaks to me, and is just plain wrong.

It's a New Era

Post by PurpleGeezer on Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:16 pm

you are in luck, FANatic,

there appear to be all sorts of ways to keep up with the Pilots.

The Radio broadcast means you can get it anywhere, because the station has an internet feed. with a Radio App, it can even be gotten on your mobile devices. I have WunderRadio for my apple devices, and it comes in clearer than on the airwaves.

the New Stretchnet means it will be easier (and free) than ever before for the home games at least. with luck, we may get away games as well.

But the best news is that it appears it will work with at least some mobile devices.I decided to go to the link listed on Portlandpilots.com with my iPad, and I got this message on the splash screen:

SUPPORT FAQs

All broadcasts are available on the iPhone platform, which includes the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. If the event is only available on a subscription basis, you must first purchase the passport on a desktop computer before logging in on your mobile device. Audio broadcasts should transmit well under most network conditions -- even with slower, Edge connections -- though video broadcasts generally require higher network speeds. Stretch Internet suggests viewing only while connected to a wireless connection or when in an area with fast 3G coverage. Viewing in other situations may result in buffering.

Woo Hoo!!!

I don't think since it's free you will have to subscribe from you home machine(minor inconvenience if you do)

Now you can get the box scores at halftime, hear what the announcers are saying about the game, and even see the replays -
Almost as good as the pop-down replay screens I've been lobbying for.

One thing for sure, I'm taking the Pad to the game to see if it all works!

Will I be able to get it on my Droid here in Montana or should I go fishing instead? It's the last night of my trip and a tough call as to what to do. I'm reluctant to miss one last chance to catch a nice trout on a dry fly, but I'd hate to miss the game if I can get it.
