Dunbar takes 29th

University of Portland freshman Trevor Dunbar (Kodiak, Alaska)
was the first one across the line for Team USA in the junior men's
8-kilometer race, with his 29^th place finish in 23:36. Andrew
Colley (Williamsburg, Va.), a freshman at North Carolina State
University, was 42^nd at 24:10, while high school senior Walter
Schafer (Centennial, Colo.) finished 44^th in 24:17.
Washington State University freshman Andrew Kimpel (Spokane,
Wash.) rounded out Team USA's four scorers in 54^th at 24:37.

Wow, not a bad finish and it should be mentioned that he was 2nd out of all non-African runners (finishing just behind a runner from Japan), I suppose conditions didn't hamper the Kenyans as much as we had hoped...

The ol' rumor on the internets is that a lot of these Kenyan guys who enter the junior race may or may not actually be juniors, as they don't keep track of birthdays as strictly as we do over here.
BTW, WSU is now coached by former Pilot great Pete Julian.....apparently he's bringing in some talent!
