Pilots on Comcast SportsNet!!! Empty Pilots on Comcast SportsNet!!!

Post by Stonehouse Thu Oct 25, 2007 4:56 pm

Check it out... there should be a release up soon on the website, but here's a list of the games that will be on the new Comcast channel:

Men’s Basketball

Nov. 17 vs. Oregon 7 PM

Jan. 19 vs. San Francisco 7 PM

Feb. 2 at Saint Mary’s 7 PM

Feb. 16 at San Diego 6 PM

Feb. 18 at San Francisco 7 PM

Mar. 1 vs. Santa Clara 7 PM

Mar. 3 vs. Saint Mary’s 7 PM

AWESOME!!! It would be cool to see more road games, but just getting this kind of exposure is huge. And how great is it to get in on this on the ground floor? If we continue building this relationship, hopefully we'll get more games on in the future.

Kudos all around!!!

You know, I just looked at the stats... 11 of our 14 WCC games will be on TV on either ESPN2, ESPNU, FSN, or the new Comcast Channel.

Seriously... how awesome is that? Kudos to everyone involved in making this happen. Just being on TV gives the team more recognition and more status as a "legit" team, you know what I mean? Definitely a fun time to be a Pilot fan!

I gotta think that Larry Williams was a big part of that. The guy is pretty savvy about that stuff. I don't think he's done yet, either.

Remember, he was at Notre Dame with Beauchamp when they landed the TV deal there.

Does Comcast show in Arizona? For Direct TV satelite?

We had a hard time watching Kramer on Streaming video too? Any suggestions on that also.
Does anybody have a phone # for them , not just an e-mail address.
Well at least were taking a couple of carloads up to the Fresno tourney to watch the Pilots. At least we will be able to watch the game unless they put us behind a pole, or in the nosebleed section.

Hey MesaPilot - what kind of problem are you having with the video streaming? Audio? Or is the feed just choppy? One potential problem is your connectivity... try going to any website that has live video feeds (like your local weather/traffic channel or something like that) or even try YouTube or GoogleVideo. If the pictures coming from there are choppy too, you may need a faster connection.

If those come in fine, there may be a problem from UP's end. They just started the video streaming this year, so there are bound to be some kinks. If you are having a problem with that, just shoot the SID Jason Brough an email ( brough@up.edu ) and maybe he can help you out.

Good luck... and have fun in Fresno!!!

Pilots on Comcast SportsNet!!! Empty Streaming Video

Stonehouse,
Thanks for the information. We got to watch the game but it was a little grainy. After Kramer got his nose broke it was hard to tell the difference between him, Sikma, and Smeulders unless you listened to the audio.
Looking foward to the Comcast games. We'll try the SID's E-mail. Kramer sent that to his grandpa and parents already. Wow, you are full of information! Thanks for the suggestions.

Question about the video - can you purchase a game after the fact, save it on your computer, and watch it at your leisure?
